

Visual concept – non-commercial work. I was inspired by the original photograph (taken by Hisu Lee), found on Unsplash. I saw visions of a soft male essence floating in his own inner world, creating his reality from within himself through meditation and the healing powers of water. Masculinity has been made out to be hard, immovable, rigid. You have to be a certain way to be considered "a real man", any feminine traits are considered to be "bad", "gay", not man enough. But I am glad to see this is changing, men's emotions are being heard, nurtured, allowed to be felt and expressed. I feel we can only benefit as a society from letting "boundaries" cross and not making us humans out to only be a certain way because of the gender we were assigned at birth. Let's all allow space for us humans to express ourselves and be heard
